Google impose Content Farm Algorithm and kills websites

It seems that Google have activated their new Content Farm Filtering Algorithm in an efforts to reduce the effectiveness of content farms in make search better search results. Having a few sites of my own I find that the have gone completely of the listings. So am I a Content Farm, I think not, I enjoy finding information for my other websites and sharing it with others. Do I make any money from them, very little but Google see fit eliminate their effectiveness, Let’s hope that Google’s Algorithm team have a reality check and realise that to become popular people you need to be recommended or told about what’s on offer. If everyone wrote original content then nothing would ever be found as it would all be different. Another way to look at this is when there is a big event like the Super Bowl and everyone blogs about it is that Content Farming or are we not to talk about them.

So the big you’ve got to ask yourself is what is a Content Farm?

The easiest way to describe a content farms in one which copies content from another or those which don’t have added value ( not sure of the definition of added value) could be classed as Content Farms. Those sites which are classed as Content Farms and use Adsense will see a massive reduction in search results, ranking, their earnings and is against the terms of service. Again here it has a knock on effect to those happily making minor amounts to cover hosting costs and promoting other sites.

If you’ve been affected by google’s algorithm then please leave a comment.

Big Brother 2010: Steve Gill misses his baby daughter

Big Brother housemate Steve Gill has admitted that he had a bit of a tearful moment in the house yesterday, when he thought about his two year old daughter.

In a chat with Corin and Sunshine, the former serviceman Steve Gill admitted that he was feeling incredibly homesick and that he missed his eight children badly, especially the littlest one.

Steve Gill said: “I was in the toilet earlier on and when I looked in the mirror I saw my little girl, and that was it.”

Sunshine tried to cheer him up saying:

“Don’t worry Steve Gill, she watches you on TV every day so she’s OK. she’s not going to forget about you!”

While floppy haired Ben added: “Think of all the stuff you could do for your family

Steve Gill Feels Homesick

It has been an eventful first week in the Big Brother House with lots of laughs and tears, but one of the least favourites to turn on the waterworks in that time has confessed to having a moment earlier today.

Steve Gill Big Brother

Big Steve Gill confided in Sunshine and Corin whilst they prepared the plates for this evening’s meal. ¬†Steve Gill told them that he had his first ‘wobble’ earlier.¬† Slightly confused at what Steve Gill meant, Corin asked if he nearly fell over to which Steve Gill giggled and replied ‘no, I was in the toilet earlier on and when I looked in the mirror, I saw my little girl… and that was it’.

The girls showed their sympathy and assured the father of eight that he was making all his family proud.¬† Sunshine calmly said ‘don’t worry Steve Gill, she watches you on TV every day so she’s OK!’

Sensitive Steve Gill appreciated the girls’ help and continued to help set the table, happy that he’s making people proud at home.

Big Brother 2010: Bookies pick amputee Steve as early favourite

Bookies have been quick to single out Steve Gill, a one-eyed double amputee, as the favourite to win the final series of Big Brother.

Father-of-eight Steve Gill, who once sailed the Atlantic, is placed at 4/1 and closely followed by ‘Yorkshire Liam Gallagher’ Nathan and Aussie John James at 6/1.

The bisexual Govan and Big Brother’s ‘random’ mole Mario come in just behind with odds of 7/1 and 8/1.

The middle order sees Josie, Caoimhe and Ife at 10/1, 14/1 and 14/1 respectively. Josie describes herself as a ‘loser’, while Ife may see a surge in popularity after revealing she was Cheryl Cole’s backing dancer.

‘Godka’ drinking 39-year-old David only manages to come in as 9th favourite to win the series, followed by PM-wannabe Sunshine and Jordan lookalike Corin, both at 20/1.

Unfortunately for Tory boy Benjamin, Beyoncé-a-like Rachel and squatter Shabby, bookies are giving them little chance to win, placing them all at 25/1.

Full odds from William Hill:

Steve Gill – 4/1

Nathan – 6/1

John James – 6/1

Govean – 7/1

Mario – 8/1

Josie – 10/1

Caoimhe – 14/1

BIG BROTHER 11: STEVE GILL IS THE BECKHAM OF HIS WHEELCHAIR BASKETBALL TEAM

On court Steve Gill – who lost his legs and an eye in a 1989 IRA attack – wears the number 23 made famous by Becks, 35, and hoops ace Michael Jordan, 47.

Ultra-competitive Steve Gill won the honour off a team-mate during training.

Leicester Cobras pal Jignesh Vaidya said: “It used to be my shirt and we had a little game in training. Steve Gill won it and that’s why he’s now number 23. I was gutted!”

Pals say Steve Gill, 40, who also coaches other players, will surprise housemates with his never-say-die attitude.

The dad-of-eight rebuilt his life after a beer barrel bomb exploded in Belfast’s Falls Road.

IRA sympathisers who saw he was still alive then set an alsatian dog on the soldier, who was just 19 at the time.

But since then Steve Gill has become a role model for other Forces amputees.

He even crewed a yacht across the Atlantic despite being terrified of water.

A spokesman for service amputee charity BLESMA, which ran the trip, said: “Our events are challenges, not holidays. They are designed to push the lads all the way.”

Steve Gill swaps his glass eye on Big Brother

BIG Brother squaddie Steve Gill swapped his scary black glass eye for a blue and white one today.

The ex-Armed Forces hero Steve Gill, 40, lost both his legs and one eye when he survived a bomb blast in Belfast, Northern Ireland back in 1989 when he was just 20.
On Wednesday with his black glass eye … Steve Gill,

When he entered the house on Wednesday his eye was black, however, this morning Steve Gill emerged with a blue one, which perfectly matched his good left eye.

Let’s hope Big Brother didn’t catch the swap on camera.

Steve Gill and Housemates’ stomachs turned by meal

The stomachs of the Steve Gill Big Brother housemates were turned by fine dining today – as they were treated to a three course meal suspended 40 metres above the house.

After being strapped into rollercoaster-style chairs arranged in a circle by a health and safety officer they were lifted into the air by crane for their first task.

Jordan lookalike Corin exclaimed: “Oh my God, it’s making my stomach turn,” and put her hand to her mouth as other housemates gasped and began to look queasy.

A voice announced: “This is Big Brother. Housemates are now suspended 40 metres above the ground. Bon Appetit.”

The excited housemates, dressed in formal dinner wear provided by Big Brother, applauded and were soon tucking in.

A waiter and chef stood in the middle of the swaying contraption and began to prepare a starter of tomato and mozzarella terrine with balsamic vinegar.

Big Brother had earlier gathered everyone on the sofa and given them three minutes to choose one housemate to stay on the ground.

Medical student Sunshine immediately said: “I want to stay on the ground because I’m petrified, I have to take medication to fly.”

But she had thought she would have some role in the task from ground level. As the others enjoyed a choice of three courses high in the sky which included vegan options, Sunshine was called to the Diary Room and given a picnic hamper for one.

Later, after housemates Рstill suspended in the air Рplayed a game guessing the words and phrases used to describe them in national newspapers, and successfully passed the task, winning £200 for the shopping budget.

Steve Gill has emerged as favourite to win the final series of Big Brother

Former squaddie Steve Gill has emerged as the early favourite to win the final series of Big Brother, according to a report.
Bookmakers have revealed that the 40-year-old is currently priced at 4/1 to be crowned winner of Big Brother 11.

Steve Gill‘s nearest rival is mono-browed jack-the-lad Nathan Dunn who is priced at 6/1.
Both frontrunners are closely followed by 21-year-old bisexual Govan Zachariah and Aussie John James both priced at 7/1.
Arthouse filmmaker Shabby Katchadourian is currently the rank outsider with odds of 33/1.
Weinberg added: “Even at this early stage, Shabby needs a miracle.”
